THE RED TENT

A Red Tent is a woman’s circle where we gather in community in devotion, filling up our cups and witnessing the growth of other women in line with both our inner and the outer cycles. Its name is taken, and is named after, the gatherings of our ancestors who would come together in ‘Red Tents’ to honour every stage of a woman’s life, including their monthly bleed. Women’s circles have been deeply healing and transformational for me, however I have usually had to commute to attend one, or go online. Offering a Red Tent in my local area has been a deep longing and dream of mine, and I cannot wait to share this magic in my own little pocket of the world.

 

This Red Tent is heavily inspired by the Rose Lineage, Divine Feminine Mysteries, and ancient temple spaces, the teachings of which I hold very close and dear to my heart. However, Celtic and Shamanic nature/Earth-based traditions have also played a huge part in my healing journey, and so, these are interwoven.

 

Each gathering will always include a ritual or activity, tarot/oracle cards, sharing, and Rose/flower/herbal tea (Cacao on special occasions), but will always be in keeping with the theme. The theme will vary from Seichim, Angelic or Rose healing, to reconnecting to our heart, womb and soul, the Gnostic teachings of the Magdalene Rose Path, the moon phase/sign, Venus’ position, and even the Celtic Earth Sabbats. Ultimately the theme will vary depending on cosmic and seasonal influences and other topics of interest that there is a call to explore.

 

What is probably the most powerful aspect of a woman's circle though, is that they remind us we are a part of the whole, and as we heal so does everybody else, and when our sisters heal, so do we. At the very core, the Red Tent focuses on Community, Healing, and Connection (to the self, others, and Spirit/Universe), all of which Unconditional Love flows through. This is also the easiest and most accessible way to experience energy work and a ceremonial environment for the first time, and on a regular basis.
